How long do you leave your butter out for?

Assuming room temp, out of direct sunlight & covered. How long would you be happy to use it for?

The same here. Never put it in the fridge this time of year, just leave it in the cupboard so you can spread it when you want to use it.

Don't have much space in the kitchen so leave it in the fridge, however, normally I'd leave it in a butter dish out of the fridge.

If its margerine, in the fridge. If it's butter I like to keep it in one of those butter thingies (don't even know what it's called, but its a glass upturned dish).
