How long doe sit take?

Hi guys,

After setting up a new router (2700hgv) last night and messing about with my old one (dg834g) my connection speed has gone right out of the window - sort of as expected...

I'm currently syncing at 2944kbps and getting a download speed of 0.09 mbps

How long, generally, does it take before I'll see a speed increase?

Erm, instantly? I'm not sure I understand your question, switching between routers should have instant effect unless something is changing at the providers end too.

Guessing you mean the DLM, if so a few days

Yeah, during the change over my sync went as low as 504kbps or something?! I'm now syncing higher but still getting low speeds - looks like it'll be a few days then

Yay! I have usable internet back...

My router's re-synced too, but only to 2528kbps - I can live with that if its going to give me 2mb all of the time

Previously my netgear would have re-synced but left me with something silly!

I'm going to give the 2700hgv a week and see how it goes - I still fancy getting a billion 7800n.

Interestingly, my stats have changed considerably with this kit:

56.5db attenuation and 15db snr

On my netgear the attenuation was nailed to the spot at 54db and my snr would vary between 6 and 12.

If I get the billion I'll be able to set my own snr...
