This is the whole 'sitting in a bath means you are sitting in dirty water' drama again, how dirty do you honestly expect to be when you wake up?
If you always get into bed after having a shower, you aren't going to wake up dirty and if people do have a shower before bed and then sleep for 8 hours and think they need a shower again when they wake up, they are taking it way over the top.
wake up from alarm at 5. get up 5:05, shower, clothes on, boil kettle, let dog out, keys etc ready, boot pc, cup of tea, breakfast, watch bbc news live on pc, browse web. 6:40 head into work, arrive 6:55.
I like to get ready first thing then chill for abit. only during my break at 10:30 I wake up properly after a coffee. I can also have a few beers on the night now and then and manage this fine. i really hope this helps.
I can be out of the door in about 40 mins. But I normally take my time and take over an hour. That includes making lunch, breakfast and all one my morning ablutions. Normally get to work for around 830.
Alarm goes off at 6am, snooze till 620 at which point I get up, shower, get dressed, brush teeth, sort out the cats and grab lunch from the fridge to leave for about 640-645. Normally in work by around 7.
