How long does mobo RMA take ?

Had to send back my Crossfire V Formula as it arrived with a dead lan port so i requested a new one, OCUK sent me an email saying the recieved it this morning and it will take 5-7 days to test it.
Surely they just need to plug it in and see that the lan port is dead, why would this take 5-7 days ? I could do this easily within the hour.
Or do they do other tests and send the data back to the mobo manufacturer ?

It depends on a number of factors.
They probably have other RMA's to deal with and they may or may not have any of them particular boards in stock, in which case they will have to request another one from Asus.

Well i just hope it doesnt drag out as its such a simple matter, i even spoke to asus on the phone and they said the only choice really is to replace it.

One I sent was refunded in 3 days. The other was actually ~24hours turnaround. Was very impressed.

well i sent it last friday morning so maybe at the end of the week ill get a new one, i hope ^^
