From what I've been told, the database got really knackered and in the end it was easier to just wipe and start over than attempt a repair.

If I remember correctly the database broke? Another forum kindly set up an OcUK lost members sub forum so we could still post!

I've probably lurked on here for like 4-5 years

tried registering but at the time only had my hotmail account (hey i was an internet noob

) so didn't end up joining till last year.

Been a member for just over half a year. Lurked quite a bit before. I was a regular on a well known PC magazine forum until there were a few falling outs and mass bannings and it all got a bit too quiet so I started posting on here.

I'd say read the FAQ n00b but you've been here a month or so longer than me.

I joined after seeing a mate using the forums, can't even remember why I wanted to join but I've definitely enjoyed being a part of the forums. I did read the forums for about 3 months before I could sign up, needed to get back to uni for the email address.
