How long should it take?

Morning all.

I applied for a retail job about 5/6 weeks ago. They said they would contact my within 10-14 days.

I called them at 21 days and they said they were deciding who to interview.

Does it always take this long?

You could try ringing, but they'll probably just say 'sorry, who are you?'

I've applied to 3 other places, got rejected by 2, waiting to hear back from one more, (excluding this one)

Yes maybe the reason why I'm not getting anywhere is because nobody knows who I am.

Some news, got a reply back 7/8 weeks later saying sorry you didn't get it.
