New thread because otherwise I would need to do seperate posts for ATI and NV's official threads.

How long will it be until the 4xxx and 2xx series are reviewed and benchmarks appear from decent sites ? like firingsquad and toms ?

16th/17th June for official benchmarks. All the large sites will have the cards already, but be under NDA. Both companies go for hard-launches now, with the cards available in shops at the same time information is released.

I really hate NDA at this point :p I kind of figured that was what was keeping the sites or benchmarks being leaked / released though.

It is highly annoying, I am rocking back and forth waiting to figure out which card to get for performance and value :/

Yup i second that, it wont be too long now though if you are waiting to decide whether to buy one of those cards, there is already enough info out there to make your choice.

How long does it take to read benchmarks and make a decision anyway?

You won't be able to buy the cards before the benchmarks are available so it's no real loss...

Yeah, but if for example they aren't massive improvements I could just get say an 8800GT now to last me to the new cards (the 55 revisions from NV) are released, or if the ati cards don't really impress me... basically :p

Plus, there'll most definitely be price gouging on the cards anyway. So most people won't be buying on day of release, well, at least not from here if there's gouging going on.

If they don't impress me price wise i get a 8800gt to tide me over
