I had an interview 2 weeks ago today for a new job, the interviewer did say that they were interviewing last Wednesday and Thursday also so it would have been a week ago on thursday that they done their last interviews. How long roughly do you think would be reasonable to wait for a response before chasing them up?

It is what they called a "pipeline position". They have a turnover of on average 12 staff per year so they were interviewing for people to go into the pipeline for the job. Those that pass the interview and go into the pipeline are then security vetted etc ready to go straight into training and when a position becomes available.

So yesterday i finally got around to phoning them to ask for "feedback" on the interview, i spoke to the lady that was taking notes during the interview and she told me that i have been put on the pipeline for a position! So I have passed the interview and now need to wait for a position to become available :D after speaking to my mate who works at a different branch they are currently in negotiations to get a contract for the work they do with a new company and they are looking highly likely to get it so this is probably what the pipeline is for, if they get the contract then they have 10 people already interviewed and security vetted ready to go straight into training. They were also recruiting 10 people at his branch aswell so seems most likely the case as they were at capacity for staff already but were recruiting 10 more folk.
