Hi, just hoping someone could gimme a bit of advice from experience concerning my loop. It appears my biocide has stopped working, as my water has turned green, i cant complain been using the same bottle of biocide over 10 years. I'm gonna flush it out tonight and get it all cleaned out, I've bought some new water and ive got a kill coil, but i just need to know if anyone knows if its cool to run it a week or so while i wait for the new biocide to turn up just with a kill coil in? I've never run without biocide in before so i dunno if its all gonna go green on me before the new stuff arrives.

Cheers.

Would be cool, i dunno i never run a loop without biocide. I thought a kill coil was just an extra measure, if its capable on its own then would be cool to tun my PC untill the biocide arrives then i guess.

I did a lot of research on this recently (just built new loop for new pc) its one or the other you don't need to do both but it shouldn't cause any issues if you did.

At least with a kill coil you don't have to worry so much about getting concentrations right. Added bonus is they don't lose effectiveness just empty loop and refill and your done :)

Obviously a kill coil have no effect on anti-corrosion properties so you'll still have to add to your loop. I ended up using Mayhems clear biocide and anti corrosion built in. Cheap enough to last a few loop changes :)
