how long would you use a new drive and say its ok

Hi just wondered about the above, I fitted a new nvmem.2 drive last week as my os drive and unplugged the current ssd with the os on it, so how long to keep it as back up in case the new one breaks or is a week long enough and just use it

I would say whenever you feel comfortable, are you requiring the old drive urgently?

Any drive could potentially develop a fault at any time... So have a backup of important data..

just my old os drive I moved everything to a spare, it only has my os on it now I was just worried that win 10 wouldn't install on the new drive, I will give it another week then maybe pop it in the whs 2011 if I can find the os disc 8 years later lol
