How many 3D marks with a 8800GTX?

I got a score of 11300 in 3dmark06. My rig is an X6800 core2 overclocked to 3466Ghz, 2gig of OCZ (4-4-4-15) ram, the 680I EVGA mobo & the BFG 8800GTX. I tried to push it to 3.7Ghz but it got a bit unstable. Still dont go much above 36 degrees under load. I need to mess with the voltage more I think but cant be assed tonight. Oh & Im using a tuniq tower 120 heatsink!

By the way, for all of you runing over 3.7Ghz what are your cpu voltages set to? Currently im at 1.375v & the multiplier set to x13.

Give it some more! Im using 1.5V

If you got 11k, what are these guys smoking?

Just bumped up the multiplier to x14 so now running at 3.7Ghz & upped the voltage to 1.475 & now im in the 12,000's in 3dmark06!!! Thats within the top 20 according to the hall of fame! Maybe the guys on tomshardware wernt using an X6800? Or its old! But got an 8800GTX a score of just under 5000 seems low to me!

ok guy's just benched all at default except my cpu @ 3.2 and got :

3Dmark 05 = 17,450

3Dmark 06 = 10,874

Dunno if these are good or bad ??

Thats roughly what I got on defaults......

For a piece of computer software that completely underminded the entire US military (granted it may not be too dificult) that post didn't make a lot of sense.

Check again ;) Thats just the sm2 score....

Yep, Tomshardware splits the results into sm2 and sm3 scores, thats why there are 2 options at each res. It would be pointless putting a total score as the cpu is a big factor in 06.

Just for comparison, to make it clear. This is a bad result:

3dmark 06 = 161 (Integrated ati200 gfx & pent805)

& another average joe result would be -

3dmark06 = 1559 (6600gt pcie 558- sm2 556-sm3 1937-cpu pent805)

So your result is about 7x better, thats good :) :D

3DMark06 C2D @3.2Ghz
8800GTX : 11400 so far
7950GX2: 8300

3DMarks and arguing aside on all these threads, my new 8800GTX wipes the floor with my Dual GPU 7950 GX2 when it comes to games.

Call of Juarez classic example. My 7950 maxed out at 1600x1200 turned into an old sick dog. The 8800 just throws the frames at my screen.

Not to mention, the 8800 as extremely good image quality.

Guess its just the price causing the riff raff :)
