Hi,

Just occurred to me replying to another post that I have not had many cars in my 19 year driving history.

I have a total of 5 cars that is it.

1). Minis (various but counted as one)
2). Astra 1.6i
3). Astra GTE
4). BMW e36 316i
5). BMW e39 540i

Bit dull really.

I have owned 4 cars.

Citroen Xantia 1.9TD SX
Mk2 Ford Mondeo Ghia X RSAP
E39 BMW 530i Sport
E92 BMW 335i M Sport

I have no interest at all in owning a huge amount of cars. I like to buy the right car and keep hold of it long-term.

I have owned the following:

Citroen Saxo
Vaxhall Astra
Mini Cooper S
VW Golf GT TSI

Rest of mine were Company cars / vans.

Me too, I have a target car that I want to own, and then stick with it until it falls apart.

Each car I have had has been more desired then bought out of need.

When I type out this list, it doesn't half bring back some memories :) both good and bad at let you guess which was what!

1. Ford Escort 1.1L with an "E" gear! Honestly it had 1st, 2nd 3rd then E. Was spectacular good at not being powerful enough to get up steep hills. This was a problem as I lived up a steep hill.
2. Ford Mondeo Saloon 2.0i Sport - First car I brought myself, loved it to bits, had that boot spoiler. Destroyed the gearbox :(
3. Rover 218 Sport - Was fun to drive, but Head Gasket got me :(
4. VW Passat 1.8T - I was doing lots of motorway miles, that was my excuse and I'm sticking to it. to make matters worse, it was metallic beige.
5. Audi A3 1.9TDI "Sport" - 1 year only.
6. VW Scirocco 2.0T GT - Love it to bits. Had much fun with this, top spec, top motor.
7. Coming in April - BMW F30 320d Sport

1. 1990 Mx-5 1.6 <---- still got
2. 1993 Eunos Roadster 1.6
3. 1995 Nissan QEL 3.0
4. 2004 Renault Laguna 2.0 Initialé

Two big cars I just got for winter, had mx-5 for nigh on ten years.

Technically four.

1) Vauxhall Nova - handed down to me as a present by my brother in law when I turned 17. I didn't learn to drive at that point.

2) Triumph Dolomite Sprint - bought with intentions of getting it more roadworthy and taking my test. We did get it 99% roadworthy, but I didn't stick with driving lessons so we sold it. Bloke who bought it had it on the road a week later after finishing it off.

3) Toyota Starlet SR - bought from my sister, I had it for about three weeks until her brother in law decided he wanted it back, long story short he got it back :( Then decided he didn't want it after all and sold it to someone else! We don't talk anymore.

4) Peugeot 306 XSi - this is the only one that I actually think of as a car that I've really owned. Had it since December 2009. Going to change car this year, soon as possible really.
