I have this case I'm using now which is decent, hasn't got those horrid "gaming" aesthetics which I loath but before this I had (Still have as spare) Cooler Master Elite 430 which has poor cable management and only supports 120mm fans without air filters, these are the main reasons I got rid of it. One day I will upgrade my motherboard/cpu/memory/gpu and dump it all into it.
What factors determine what case you buy? Watercooling is all the rage and it seems most cases nowadays need to accomodate dual rads and a pump to be taken seriously.
For me it comes down to silence thats what I look at first then hassle free use second. If I had the cash I'd have Parvum build me a custom air cooled case for silence.
Cases i've thrown in the skip, (shame on me) Lian Li a77 custom case that must have cost me £400 after mods, FT03, White RV02, TJ08-E, antec P182 and old Lian li pc7.
I don't change cases frequently. I have an Antec Plus AMG 1080 from about 2002 with a Q6600 based PC in it, that I rarely even turn on, and I've yet to find a better looking case than my CM Stacker 830 which I've had since about 2007.
I've had the Antec, a full tower Chieftec Dragon and a TT Xaser II. I'd have another Plusview or Dragon in a heartbeak.
I even prefer them over my old Lian-Li V1000+
I've cut down massively and only got 2 cases now, a Corsair Air 540 and Silverstone TJ06. The Silverstone is a chunky thing but I don't think much of its cable management (i.e. it has none ). The Air 540 being my main rig and TJ06 being the HTPC (out of sight, out of mind).
I own 2. My main PC Corsair 500r and a Bitfenix Shinobi black with white strips and logo for my retro PC. I'm looking to replace the 500r as I just fancy a change (and maybe something slightly smaller)
