How Many cpus you killed from over clocking?

XP 1900 Palamino > Dead
XP 2500m > Lived
A64 3000 Toledo> lived
A64 3000m > Dead
A64 3700 Clawhammer> Dead
A64 X2 3800 Toledo> lived on the edge then sold on ebay :p
A64 3500 Manchester > Lived but wasn't clocked (loaned)
A64 3700 Manchester > lived than goodness as it was loaned

All bought cheap and clocked to the max unstable speed (some ran 24/7 running seti) with as much voltage as I could throw at them :D

Hard to say really if it was down the overclocking, but the following have died on me:

Cyrix PR200+ (not helped by it continually crashing when the cpu fan stopped working - these puppies were notoriously toasty!). Over time it gradually got more and more unstable (even when underclocked) until eventually it wouldn't boot any more.

P4 1.6A. Ran this at 2.6ghz for around 9 months before it gave up. Somewhat surprising as it hadn't really given me any signs of instability prior to that. Had the RMA replacement (1.8A) running at 2.7ghz for the past 4 years.

gone through maybe 20-30 cpu's, overclocked i think every single one, couple i've gone silly voltage with. 2800+ ath 64 754 , 2.2v, air cooled, yeah baby. still fine.

not killed a one, and thats with multiple installs and heatsink fittings on most. if you kill a cpu, you suck :p

had 2 rigs so far my old athlon xp3200 and current e6300/680i

killled 1 athlon by changing settings in bios like multi/vcore and not having a clue ;) (noobness) but ocuk rma'd it on the spot :D

no probs with current, super stable @3.15 for 7 months

I killed about 3 amd socket a xp chips from OC then realised the heatsink had some nasty metal sticking on the bottom from where the first chip cracked :P

i hated socket a amd cpu's due the fact they always pop if u tried messing with the heatsinks

When i was setting up my TEC cooling (dual 175 watters) i killed 4 or 5 cpu,s before getting the setup correct 1.4 Athlons mostly.
In my spare rig i have a XP2500 Barton that was TEC cooled for 6 months or so , then went into my Prommie & ran 24/7 for over 2 years @ 2.6ghz doing UD & now is water cooled running @ 2.2 ghz.
Thanks heavens for thermal protection :D
