Hi,

I am curious as to how many devices you could possibly combine in to a single plug? I.e. connect pc, monitor and say printer to a single kettle lead to save space?

well, from 1 wall socket which is rated to 240v @ 13a = just over 3000w of power.

unless you do what i have done and feed off a seperate ringmain with a 36amp limit.

Well, as has already been said, it all depends on the current.

Charge 20 nokia phones of 1 plug, no problem. 20 kettles however... I doubt even 2 would work.

your correct. its all depends on the total combined wattage thats pulled.

got 2 pc's 2 monitors and a massive set of speakers running from 1 wall plug. The house's wiring is rather old too. Im just asking for an explosion :D

That should be ok as long as they aren't something crazy like PA speakers. ;)

I have overall 4 extension leads coming from 1 wall socket, all with 4 plugs on them.

17" Monitor, PC, 2.0 Harman/Kardon Speakers, Kodak Digital Camera, Microsoft Wireless keyboard+mouse receiver, Epson Printer, iPod Charger, Ikea Lamp, PS2, 32" Samsung TV all of them at the moment.

Once i tried to take my iPod charger lead out, and sparks came flying out. :o

EDIT: All the extension plugs are cheap £1.99 jobbies :o
God knows when the house was wired.

I'm gonna take a rough guess at each thing... if it all adds up to less than 3000 then yer all good. :)

I've guess on the high side I think. With everything on at once, you're not even going over 2000w, so yer fine.
