How many hours a week do you work ?

My job varies tbh, it's meant to be part time but sometimes I can end up doing a lot of hours. One month I spent 3 weeks doing 60 hours a week, that was fun.

I'm contracted to do 8:30-5:30 on Fri & Mon, and 7:30-5 or 5:30 on sat and sun. I also have the ability to work from home. I tend to leave work at 5PM though. It's great being able to make up your own hours. Basically, I work until my job is done, and then I go home; sometimes that's 3PM, sometimes its 6-7PM. I must say though when I'm at work on weekends, I mostely read these forums for about 3-4 hours a day though lol

You must really like your job.
Right now I can't stand it and am desperate to move.

Do you really need the money or something? Surely it can't be worth it?
I only get paid for one of the jobs. The other is in the pub I run with my girlfriend.

I don't finish work. I finish in the office and go home to work.

I'm doing it to support her while she decides whether she wants to have landlady as a career. I can take or leave being a landlord. It's quite interesting but bloody hard work and boring at times.

Once her decision is made I can do something about it. We would take a lease of our own rather than a tenancy - meaning we can have more staff in taking the burden off us.

A nice round 37.5 hours, 7.5 Hours per day, work anywhere between 7:30 and 6:30, usually do a 9:30-6, gives me a nice lie in, and get to the pub for a nice few pints after work, brilliant.

35 hours a week.

They don't expect you to work for free either so no one really does much overtime, although the place is empty by 4 on a Friday and if I do any sports at lunchtime then the lunch break usually ends up being 1.5hours. Must end up doing about 33hours a week :D

between 37.5 and 42.5 (dependant on lunches)

Though how much of that I actually work is debateable. :)

Does sitting in the library posting on OCUK forums count as work?

Damn right, submit your claim form to Spie with the cost centre listed as "wading through OCUK spam", £17 per hour I believe  :p

Guestimate 60 hours a week and permanently on-call. I'm definitely going to sue myself for unfair working practices, poor H&S and paying myself below the minimum wage :p.

My main career is the standard 5 days a week 8 hours a day.

My wife and I also run a swimming school, which is 2 hours each weekday evening, 8 hours on a saturday and 5 hours on a sunday.

So I work for 63 hours a week of which 40 are paid and the rest is unpaid, as I do not take a wage from the swim school.
