How many hours a week do you work?

40 hours a week. No flexi, no time off in lieu or overtime paid if I have to stay behind or come in on the weekend *shrug*

I thought about doing this thread as a poll to see the results. glad i didnt noe as I don't think it would have qccomodated everyone. such a variety of responses from everyone!

35

But I usually work more than that to build up some flexi and then have a flexi day off each month.

12 hours a day, 7 days a week ;)

When I was working as a multiskilled tradesman, then I'd usually be on site at 7am - leave at 5pm Mon-Fri (Two 15 min and one half hour break) so 45 hours or so a week, but sometimes more if there was a tight deadline. Did two 90 hour weeks back to back once - that was a killer (but worth it - contracted to 40 hours p/w so 50 hours overtime each week :))

12 hour shifts 2 days, 2 nights 4 off.

It's not too bad because I have to work 10 hours max of that 48 unless it's a hideously bad week. Plus I can go home early if nothings on.

I certainly couldn't do those hours on a swing shift if it was a job that required constant work. I also get 33 days holiday which I always use to take the 2 nights off. So I come in for 2 days and then have 6 off.

37.5 hours a week I am supposed to be in the office,

32 hours a week I am usually in the office by the time I have turned up a bit late, left a bit early and taken 1.5 hours for lunch

1 hour a week I do any work,

(we have no work i'm sooooo bored if I did not need the money i'd not bother comming in)

Contract is 25 hours a week at the minute but its due to get put up to 35 in the next few weeks.

I generally do a bit of overtime here and there too if its going at time and a half or double time.
