How many hours to you mean good purchase?

Had forgot about that...

Red Alert on the PS1!! 2 TVs, 2 PS1's and a manhandled system link cable running about 25metres lol we spent months on that thing

It depends on the game in question.

For example, my current three most played games are World of Warcraft, of which I've played since the very start. Football Manager, of which I play daily, for a couple of hours, until the new one comes out.

Currently the Sims 3, which will take up a fair amount of time.
Team Fortress two, and Left 4 Dead, took up a lot of my time.

Half life, and Half life two, were almost the perfect length for the type of game.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was very short, but was packed to the brim with brilliant action.

Games can all have different lengths, It's not the length that bothers me, its the content.

Any thing that lasts over 20 hours is great value for money. I always compare it to the cost of going to the cinema or renting a DVD which is way I am happy with most games I buy.

I also tend to never buy a game unless it's priced under £20 and on occasion £25 for must have titles. Its one of the main benefits of PC Gaming the price of games reduces at a far faster rate than on consoles.

So far I would say my best bang for buck came from Fallout 3 and Oblivion. I've played at least 400 hours over both those games on just the first play through. Loved them so much that I couldn't stop until I was sure I had done and seen everything that could be done (eventually used guides to figure out which quests I hadn't completed and then headed off to do them).
