How many miles did you do in 2024?

We replaced our B-Max in September, great little car.
I bet going to a Leaf it feels like an F1 car like we feel it with with the MG :)
I loved the B-max with it's sliding rear doors and punchy engine but our Ford dealership wanting £3050 to change the timing belt when it would be due in 2027 was just ridiculous so I sold it while it was still worth something. Getting out of that and into the Leaf (which is actually around the same seat height) was a experience. Forget all the gadgets and stuff, the first time I floored it scared the crap out of me and poor wifey screamed!! I did go back to the dealership with a huge grin on my face though. :D

I had to sell my Mazda 6 2.2 sport as it ended up with the dreaded DPF issue!

When I first bought the car it was fine as I did high mileage.
Fully serviced and maintained by Mazda while I had it for 4 years.

Changed jobs and the journey to work was about 3 miles.

DPF cleaning issues and it dumped diesel into the oil pan that would normally be used to clean the DPF if going fast enough and on long journeys.

Long and short of it, it cost nearly a grand to get the injectors? Cleaned and some other repairs and Mazda could not guarantee if the fix would be long term.

Sold it with 66000 on the clock.

6,000 this year. Car had 3,500 miles when I bought it in 2018.

Currently 40,000 miles, not too bad for a 7 year old car.

I did around 200 miles in company and hire vehicles and I really don't miss driving that much anymore, traffic in London is a complete nightmare.
You're usually stuck in traffic and when you get a clear bit of road you're limited to 20mph in much of London, there are even speed bumps on a small section of the A10.

600ish over the past year. I generally only use the car for the rare work trips and a bit of pottering about if it’s too far to walk, or I need to shift something in it.

I'm in wfh-for-life mode now, so no commute means only 1-2k miles per year.
Strongly considering not having another car after this one.
How can you be in that mode when you don’t work?

What I mean is, you’re desperately looking for a job, what if one comes along that’s great, but it’s 3 days in the office, you’d turn it down?
