How Many Mobile Networks Have You Tried?

been with practically all of them bar t-mobile from what i can remember. worst experiences have been with 3. currently on an iphone contract with tesco mobile (use o2's network). can safely say their customer service is fantastic!

Bt, O2, T-Mobile, Vodafone and One2one (T-Mobile)

One2one was great as a kid, and T-Mobile is just as good. Will continue to stay with T-Mobile.

Vodafone, Orange and O2.

Vodafone around 2001 when I got given my first phone.
Organge in 2002 when I bought my first good phone on PaYG, which then I preceded to fall over on(was in my pocket) and break.
Then got a contract with O2 with insurance. Been with them ever since.

one2one x1
orange x2
o2 x2
t-mobile x1

Personally I've liked the T-mobile and o2 best but last 12months of t-mobile was free.

Orange so so.

Vodafone I've always avoided as I have viewed them more expensive than all the others.

3 Just not had a chance.

tried them all bar '3'

Only ones i would ever recommend in Hampshire and mainly Southampton (can't comment on the country) is Vodafone and O2

orange were rubbish at work and my home and poor customer service and tmobile at the time were a joke,

im currently with vodafone and seems good, but O2 was my personal favourite

edit... its hard to comment on anywhere else apart from where you truly work and live, when it comes to signal and service

I've switched to T-mobile this time round, My wife is on Virgin which piggy back off T-mobile, and she always seems to have a consistent 3g signal where as I dont, no matter what phone I use my sim in.

Orange, o2 and Vodafone...

I like orange :) My contract has always just worked, all mins etc as expected. When a wee issue does arise i get through to them quickly and the problem get fixed :D

o2 were rubbish, non stop problems with my bill (a friend also had a nightmare with them, much worse than me actually). Only thing i can fault was their replacemt... i got a dodgy k750i 3 times and just walked in the shop and swapped for a new phone.

Vodafone was so long ago i cant really remember... but i do remember my texts being 12p... which i hated and thus hate vodafone lol !

O2 and Orange. O2 were the best from a signal point of view, slightly more expensive though. Orange have been pretty good on customer service however I didn't have an issues with O2 that required customer service.

went from orange to vodaphone to orange now going to go back to vodaphone!

Back about 10 years when i first got a mobile it was ok for just local calls didnt really go anywhere then went over to vodaphone for a better contract then once that contract was up for renewal orange had an unbeatable deal and assured me the signal was brilliant on par with vodaphone absolutely useless round rural areas unlike vodaphone which was perfect 99.99% of the time would never use orange again!

i have used O2 Voda and Orange. By far Orange has been the worst for reception but aside from that all have been great for customer service and stuff. I'm currently with Orange as signal at my then home (mum and dads) was ok and work was passable. Now i've moved in with the wife i get no signal at home, barely any at work, none at he parents and ok at my parents. So despite having a year left on the contract i'm off to someone else, depending on my highly scientific signal tests (put a payg sim in an unlocked phone, do i get signal? does it go when i move the damn phone?) i'll possibly be on t-mobile who seem to good on contracts at the moment.

fortunately my contract is now down to £15 a month so the sale of my Hero will pay off most of this useless contract.

Orange + T-mobile, because I work for them and have access to the trial joint network :) . I have used all 5 at different times for testing and there isn't really a best or worst - they all have their unique aspects. Things to take into consideration:

O2/Voda use 900Mhz so they go through walls better on 2G
All networks are equal when it comes to 3G signal on a technical level, it's just down to footprint/number of masts.
3 Use Orange for their out of range 2G network
3 Also have a network site share with T-mobile
Virtually all the networks use different HSDPA equipment & speeds (although it's pretty universally known that o2 had the slowest HSDPA deployment, Voda have the fastest and T-mobile the largest footprint)
Orange cover the most "people" but Three cover the most territory
Voda support pico cells, Orange support UMA for some models.

If you ever wanted to know more about your signal / towers around you I'd give the ofcom sitewatcher site a visit or if you have an android phone you might like Antennas: http://www.androlib.com/android.application.com-technolatry-antennas-qiEq.aspx

Orange, O2 and Vodafone

Orange are atrocious - and so because there is no 3G signal where I live 3 are atrocious too.

O2 are better but signal is still pretty low-to-none in my area

Vodafone gets a decent enough signal where I live so I go with them. They also seem to have a better selection of phones than the others

So because of where I live I go with Vodafone. If O2 had a good signal here I would be tempted to go with them since they're cheaper. Although generally Vodafone has had much better coverage than the others in my experience.
