as title says...is there many new games that require 1 gig? could people list the games they know of.

Well I think you could still run most games with 512mb they just wouldn't run well.
But to start off with I would say with pretty much all the games released recently you would want 1gig + ram
but for a small list:

Oblivion
NWN2
Medieval 2: TW
Company of Heroes

It also depends on what res you play in and what features are enabled surely as RAM is used to suppliment graphics ram isnt it - after all a lot of games improve with 2GB installed instead of 1GB (after 2GB however it doesnt seem to make any difference, but that could be a windows affect rather than any gaming one)

But I do know that bf2 runs a lot smoother with 2gb ram not sure about 2142.
and a freind told me that FEAR runs better with 2gb asswell.
I'm allso deciding if I should get 2gb ram for my core 2 duo build but ram prices seem very high at the moment so I think i'll be getting 1gb for now.

Yeah Fear deffo runs better with 2gb, was the game that made me get 2gb, ran a helluva lot better with 2gb than 1gb.

games on the horizon such as supreme commander and crysis will pimpslap you upside the head if you try and play them without at least 2gigs in your machine

(probab)BF 2142 ( dont have it but bf2 needs 900 mb's of (free) ram, so i guess 2142 needs more..
Modded sim city 4 ( i have over 4 gig of mods etc.. on it)
