Does anyone here keep some form of diary (hand written, typed up but offline, a public blog, a twitter page, etc.)?

Just curious really. I don't keep a diary, I wouldn't have anything of interest to put in it, but I tend to make a lot of lists (things I need to do, buy, thoughts I've had that seemed important enough to bother writing down, that sort of thing).

Dear Diary,

Today I was pompous and my sister was crazy. Today we were kidnapped by hill-folk, never to be seen again. It was the best day ever.

Sort of - I've got my calendar at work but also try to keep a very simple diary updated regarding what I've done in work since as part of my qualification I need to have a logbook describing my practical experience and this is one of the simplest ways to do it. However I'm months behind with it at the moment and really need to sort that out.

I tweet quite regullary infact I'm addicted to it. I used to keep a blog but far too busy to do it now.

I save my tweets so when I'm old I'll be able to look back and see what I've done.

No, I'm not a 14 year old girl, contrary to popular belief ;)

Be fair, it's a belief you try and perpetuate to ensnare the young boys... :p

On a completely unrelated note have you heard anything from MrG recently? Just wondering if he's doing alright as I haven't seen him around here for a while.

I keep a dairy at work, handy for looking at past faults with various bits of kit and by the time I do my timesheet I have forgotten what I have done !

Not regulary no. Though there was a period of time during Uni where I had a lot on my plate and too much to think about that it was all getting ontop of me. Mostly to do with my private life.

I opened a word document, passworded it and spat out about 6 pages of my thoughts. Read it all back to myself and soon felt better due to the simplicity of things once they're written down.

I guess I'm quite a visual person in that aspect, once things are ordered and I've planned how to deal with them it seems silly to be worked up over nothing. It deffinatley helped and have done it a few times since and recommended it to friends.

I haven't ever kept a daily log of what I've done though, don't see the appeal personally. Nor would I want to broadcast my emotions for people to see on the internet. If I want advice I'll speak to my friends and family. Sympathy is useless but yet so many people seem to crave it.

When I was forced to for school it got very boring so I ended it with an entry:

Dear Diary,

Today I died, so I can't write in this diary ever again.

Teacher was not amused.
