How many of you random test drive cars?

Well dealership is litteraly around the corner so i was just gonna nip round, have a look and that basically be it..

Im just curious to see how much of a bigger jump something like my 1.8L to a nice chunky BMW would be :p

Also curious about how much he would give me for my car :rolleyes:
 
I've done this, but I fail.

I tried the Fiat Panda and the Pug 106.

The Panda was the 100hp mind, would have really to like to have a go in one one round some proper roads without a sales man sat in the back.
 
Been with the girlfriend as she wanted to look at new cars.

Fiat were awesome, first place chucked us the keys and let us go, second FIAT place got the keys and came out with us but he was a youngish sales lad and hadnt been there long.

Suzuki were terrible, both dealers didnt know very much about the cars (Swift) at all and the second place where we asked for a test drive, was pretty much only if we were buying. Told her we were narrowing it down from the Yaris, 500, Swift etc to a couple and then deciding and they wouldnt let us take one out..... way to shoot yourselves in the foot!

Not tried myself as it would just be too tempting and i dont really need a new car at the moment as i hardly drive for fun.
 
Most of the dealers around here don't tend to stock anything I'm interested in, so I don't bother generally. But, if something that I might be interested in pops up, I'll go and have a gander.
