I work for a software development firm in the e-assessment/computer-based exams sector (working with exam boards, etc.).
Until recently I was a technical writer, producing the user documentation. Now I am a Business Analyst which means I work with our customers to devise specifications for new features and applications, which will help improve and evolve the platform.
I preferred my old title but there's more scope for career progression in the new job.
Infrastructure Engineer, been here a long time, people get promoted as they are mates with managers, not because of what they know and how much they do and do well, NHS sucks.
