How many people are still on their 1st Xbox 360?

how many have gone bust after the first 12 months

if they go bad its within the first year

But then again I only got it a month ago!
 
Kind of. I got my first 360 at launch but was a bit daft and took it away for xmas. It didn't really like the return trip and went back. I got the 2nd one early January and it's worked faultlessly since.

Yes i bought my 360 at launch and its been ok until about 2 weeks ago then it started to freeze all the time.
I never got any red lights but it went back to microsoft and they sent me back a new one.
It started to freeze on the 27th of december and i got the new one on the 4th of january.
To me thats pretty good service over the holiday period.
When you consider there repair centre is in portsmouth and i live in newcastle.
 
I bought a 2nd hand Xbox 360 from the biggest high street store and it was obvious it was faulty, probably why the original buyer traded it in??

They gave me a brand new one no questions asked and I've still got that one.

I'd class that as still being on my 1st Xbox 360.

That is disgusting, going by this you have a 1 in 4 chance of your xbox going up in smoke WITHIN ONE YEAR !!!

That is poor and no doubt is stretching the endless M$ purse out even further at making their entrance in console gaming profitable.

Not only that most people, if they have replaced it once they seem to have replaced it 2 or 3 times.

But i am still on my launch day machine :)
 
Im on my third Xbox 360 due to choice, I sold my first one in feb due to no games, sold my second as I was in a stupid "need to upgrade PC again" phase, the third I will be keeping as there are so many decent games out.

The first was a core which had to be replaced due to overheating after 3 weeks, the second 360 I bought was fine for the six months then I sold it, I have had my third which I bought which has been trouble free since I bought it (3months).

All in all I think I have been lucky so far.

I got mine 7/12/06 and getting E74 errors on cold boots. Having read some of the nightmare stories on the xbox forums that peoples replacements eat up discs or suffer other problems, im abit reluctant to send it into repair.
