How many people play PC games with a game controller?

As per thread title, who plays games on a controller as apposed to WASD and mouse?

Depends on the game, racing/action/arcade = 360 controller, rpg/shooters/rts/anything else = kb/mouse.

That's interesting! How did you find setting the controller up? Was it difficult?

I've only played DiRT 3 with a xbox controller because it's easier.

Racing games and most thirdperson games ill use the xbox controller.

Depends on whether friendly for key mapping or not, but still, rarely do I use a controller. I do quite like using one for survival horror games, though.

Depends on game, Fifa and Trine I use xbox pad.

I played skyrim with one after a lot of whining. I got used to it and have been playing Saints row 3 with it.

Its actually pretty good for console port games that are not Pure FPSs.

I tried flying choppers and jets with it in BF3 and failed, i will try again tho, i think it was a sensitivity issue

GTA IV I used the 360 controller. Apart from that, its just kb/mouse.

yup I do, mostly racing etc. I mix between controller and K/B for FPS games depends on my mood. Always play RPGs with a keyboard tho

Yup when it is appropriate (AssCreed, JC2, Batman, Other 3rd person games) or when I want to sit on my bed or big sofa and relax (skyrim, fallout etc).

Never. I'm awful with controllers, so even with games that are traditionally better with controllers like racing and sports, I still do better with keyboard and mice.

I don't really care about sitting on my sofa either, I have no problem with my desk chair!

kb/m for fps
G27 for racers
Saitek stick for flight games
xbox controller for 3rd person/sports games etc

If you use a xbox 360 controller then all you've got to do is plug it in. I played through Batman:AA and Darksiders with the controller and they both detected it automatically and updated the in-game controls and prompts to the xbox ones.

FPS is a BIG NO with a controller, but sports, racing or games like GTA i find its easier to use a controller
