How many people use their console online?

Car Games: first corner some idiot knocks you out the race, game over, pointless.

I can pay full homage to this post. Been playing a bit of F1 2010 on the PS3 (so I can use my driving force gt) and he is so right, get past the first corner and you will win the race. I think I found only 2 games out of maybe 15-20 that had some excellent clean racing.

You never get this in the PC gaming crowd... I think it's down to the demographic that play consoles (but that is for an entirely different debate altogether!)

I bought a XB360 at christmas JUST for the kinect and it is absolutly brill
I rather play a game with a mate in my house like bowling Table tennis Boxing etc
I play FPS on the pc

I was going to go online then realized i needed XBL credit and after i just paid all that mony for the ruddy thing and a lot of the games, I NEED TO SPEND MORE lol so never bother with it

Why is the PS3 and the Wii have Free online play AND come with a browser but yet Microsoft Xbox does'nt

Also use XBOX as an extender which is realy cool

I was just wondering roughly what proportion of people use their console online? Specifically how many XBox owners use Xbox live vs the number of PS3 users who go online with the PS3.

It just dawned on me that I've never played a console online before, mainly because I have an Xbox360 and I don't want to pay for Xbox live. I feel like I'm missing out . I'm considering maybe selling my Xbox and jumping ship to PS3 but just wanted to know who think Consoles give a good online experience?

I have never played an online game on Console or PC. I prefer playing single player games. My xbox360 is hooked up to the net only for demos and updates etc.

Used to play xbox live loads with mates, but then I got a PS3 and practically never go on the xbox anyway any more.

It does annoy me that we pay for the console, we pay for our internet, and then microsoft want us to pay even more to combine the two to play online...

Free online is the way for me.

Always with the PS3 (free), never with the XBox 360. I already pay for the internet, I don't want to be having to pay twice with M$.
