I would have some points though, I got two speeding tickets in the last 15 months for 10km/h too fast and a parking ticket.

15 years driving, no points ever received. I've lost count of how many times I've been pulled over and "reminded" that my speed was maybe a "tad" excessive for the area though. One of the reasons I would prefer trained traffic officers over scameras any day.

For those of you with points on your licence, what impact does it have on insurance costs?

As for me, I currently have zero points, but think I got caught on friday

A500, crewe bypass if anyone knows the area. Gutted. Wondering how it'll affect my insurance on the CTR Im after.

My bike insurance comapny weren't too concerned about the 3 points and didn't charge extra.

My car insurance wanted £40 extra for the 'privilege' of having the points.

I am now no longer 'privileged' as I have since switched companies.

I haven't had any points in 6 years of driving.

I'm no saint but I know the safety camera van hotspots so keep an eye out and slow down a touch in those areas of obviously unsafe perfectly straight dual carriageway
