Had 3 because of a Scamera. Kin Liberty, Over a decade of No points & some dodgey scamera takes my l33t driving record away. This is what really ***** me off about scameras, In my day a Copper would tug you & shout at you, Scameras don't have the ability to show discretion & take into account the car you are driving or the conditions you are driving in or the weather etc time of day bla bla bla Just cane me for 65 holes & gimme 3 points why don't ya

0 so far. I got caught going through a red light a couple of weeks ago, but they're letting me off having points if I go to a 3 hour road safety lecture. Still have to pay the 60 quid though.

Edit: does having points affect your insurance premium?

Yup, but most dont seem to penalise you much, if at all for 3 points now.

I think since scameras came along they are more common, and therefore not quite so damaging

0 for the last 10 years but in my younger days the most I ever had at one time was 15 and I wasn't banned. It required an Oscar worthy performance in court for me not to be banned. That was the turning point for me and i got my act together.
