0 points, in 7 years and 4 months of driving. Mind, I've spent the majority of that driving time (maybe 3/4ths overall) in a car with only ~40bhp....

Currently zero (although 3 previous ones still had to be declared to insurance at my last renewal)
Most I've had at one time was 6
Had a total of 11 over my driving career.

I feel for you, what was it with such tiny power?

Even with 40bhp you can still do 40 in a 30 if you wanted though :)

It was a Fiat Seicento SX 899cc. Still is, in fact, as it's currently my only car :)

Had it from new, learned to drive in it, never selling it :D

Somewhere north of 80mph (speedo was reading about 95mph IIRC), with myself and four other big guys (my then-boss and his mates) heading towards Derby on the A38 to take them to the casino will probably be that engines finest moment!

I cut a traffic light a bit close last week, I'll be checking the post nervously for the next two weeks now. I hope I don't get any points because if I do I can kiss goodbye to any hope of being able to insure a half decent car.

Have you tried some quotes with points on to see what the difference is? Several people have said it doesnt seem to make much difference...

I'm not going to be tempting fate :p I'm just going to cross my fingers, I should be ok as I am possitive that when I crossed the line the light was still amber.

I have a bad habit of worrying about the smallest things. The first time I drove on my own was in my works company smart car and I swear to god I got flashed, I couldn't sleep so I drove 20 miles back to the scene at 3am only to find there was no camera there :p

Did the camera flash?

Even if you did get an NIP and you're confident you're not in the wrong, you should appeal against it..

Do the lights flash when you cross a red then? I wasn't speeding or anything. I'm just worried because 6 points mean I lose my licence as I passed in August 07.

Yup they flash twice!

I remember sitting next to another car at red lights in the dark and he was gradually creeping forward. He crossed the line and the light flashed twice - I did have to snigger to myself a bit though

3 from 2005, still waiting for them to come off :(

My bro had his license taken away, that was quite funny.

Even if you crossed the line when it was red, you still have like a second till the camera kicks in, as I have seen people go through when its literally just turned red and it didnt flash.

Owned.

Ah I should be ok. To be honest I see the same people go flying through reds in the same area of Watford so if they were enforcing it they wouldn't be doing it as much :p

The only naughty thing I done is ignore a turn right sign to cut into the back entrance of Asda, that earned me a £60 which I went to Ealing civic centre to pay and I gave the moron on the desk a right rollicking as they only stop people from turning left to artificially create a jam and then tempt people who want to go to the supermarket to do a naughty.

0, none since i started driving since 98 or therabouts. I wonder about those RL cameras sometimes as i've seen people jump it well into red (like 3 seconds) with no flash. Even seen some dozy mary do a u turn on the A1 at a junction with a camera on a red that had to be about 5 seconds old with no flash.

I think there's a fair bit of a delay on them, otherwise they'd just be swamped by appeals and accusations of money-grabbing
