although belgium doesn't have a points system ;)

the only fine i have ever received was a speeding ticket from holland - 56km/h in a 50 - €18!
it probably cost them more than €18 in admin fees and postage..

Got 3 in '96 for a red light on a roundabout but that has been my only fall from grace in 28 years of driving. In mitigation, the lights had run the sequence from red to green back to red again in about ten seconds. I kept going as the road was greasy and I didn't want the car behind in the boot. Was convinced lights were still yellow when I crossed the line but John Law wouldn't have it. Wasn't worth arguing so just took the licks...
 
0 now, had 3 which have now come off and another that I got away with a speed awareness course.

Zero, probably jinxed it for saying that.

Had 6points total ever, 3 for 33 in a 30 in 1988 and 3 for 63 in a 50 in 1990 both were on the bike and both were through being being pulled by a real life copper and not a scamera.
 
Currently 3 that are actually valid. I still have to declare another 3 to insurance and I did have 9 at one point. Calmed down a bit since then!
 
Where I used to live, there was a particular road where the speed limit flipped between 40 and 50 every half mile or so for no reason. One of the 40 signs was particularly well hidden behind tree branches and there was a scamera just beyond it. I bet they caught a ton of people with that.
 
I've always wondered. What happens if you get caught speeding, hand your licence in and you get to keep that paper thing they give you, then you get caught speeding again before your licence is returned to you.

How would the points get added and would they take your old slip off you and leave you with the new one?

Currently none, but I had an SP30 for doing 50 in a 30 at about 3am one sunday night driving in to leicester. Ended up with 4 points + £90.00 fine for offence and not getting licence in on time...
If anyone knows where western park is, the cops were waiting in the gateway at the bottom of the hill, swine's.
 
Here comes a story and a half.

I was doing 40 in a 30 (boohoo, like you've never done it before)

Driving along and i go past a parked up police car, so i think o god...

Police car pulls out, surely its going to pull me over?

There was an immediate turning to my left and I DON'T KNOW WHY but i took it and continued to take the next 4/5 turnings at high speed hoping I'd lose the police car.

I went round a corner so tight that i lost control and hit the curb so bad that it severely screwed my suspension up. I drove half way across a field and parked up with my car hoping the police car wouldn't come round the corner.

10 mins later of sitting there, no police car came, so i drove home with my car screeching all the way whilst getting some very odd looks.

I had to pay £580 in repairs and have 0 points on my license meaning....

The police were never even after me :rolleyes:

Not one I'm proud of.

I've also been pulled over for 'reckless driving' when i was driving home at 3am after dropping my mates home from clubbing, I had music blaring out and was doing 40 in a 40.

They gave me the Breathalyzer even though i was wearing my tesco shirt and they said i was free to go.

I've been driving for 2 years and 1 month ;)
