Inspired by people saying how many points they have in that other thread about being banned, I thought it might be interesting to know what points people currently have.

I never reached more than six on my licence but I think that the first three might actually have expired before I got the second three.

I've been points clear since this.

I was done once before this but they came off when I moved. I had three points for doing 103MPH up the M6 in the mid 80s. In a 1.4 Astra. Yes, it was flat out. I was much younger.

Post a picture :)

I got 3 points once, when I was in my early 20's and an idiot on a motorbike. Not had any in over 30 years since (probably jinxed that now)

0. Never been caught speeding in the UK in my life - admittedly I've been quite lucky as I have had quite a few times where I thought I'd been busted, but I never heard anything. I've only had my license for 13 years (learnt quite late in life) but I've covered around half a million miles in that time.

I do think I might have got caught in Ireland a few weeks ago though, doing 106 in a 100, but I'm not that bothered by a fine and I won't get points for it so I don't really give a ****. That incident aside, I don't really speed anymore. I generally can't be bothered with it.

i have 0. only points i've ever had are 3 points for speeding and 3 for careless driving, both years ago. the speeding was fair enough was doing 40 in a 30, the other was a joke i never drove carelessly, on that occasion anyway. tbh in my younger days if i'd got the points i deserved i'd have been banned and gone to jail.

Currently 3 points.

Got caught 3 times in 20 yrs of driving.... And all have been via the speedgun FML.

I count myself very lucky looking back. I could have been banned a few times.

You know points don't stay on your license forever right? How many you "have" and how many you have "had" are two different things, making your question seem a bit pointless(no pun intended)

I've asked how many points do people have, not how many they had :p

As I said in the other thread I got 3 points once for doing 60 in a 50 on a dual carriageway.

That was probably 15 years ago.

I was in squeeky bum territory a few years back when i had 6 points for 3 months, since they dropped off in 2014 ive been at zero till feb, i got done for 46 in a 40, thankfully they let me do a course. I do 25k a year, so over the years ive seen sense and put my sensible hat on :)

I’d be curious if those with points were repeat offenders?
Based on what I see on the road, my assumption is yes.

No points but I did have to sit through a speed awareness course once. Wasting away 4 hours and £100 was enough incentive to rein my speed in a bit ever since.
