Got 3 points back in 2007 for doing 54 in a temporary 40 zone on the motorway at 3am

Learned my lesson, and nothing since then. I'm now older and wiser, and realised life is chaotic enough without me adding to it by rushing around everywhere. :)

0 in 25 years on a car or bike.

I have been pulled over a few times for speeding but managed to charm my way out of it.

I had a clean license before the first lockdown...

Then I got caught like 3 times and given the course (which got cancelled cuz of covid) and 2x 3pts

And then given 5pts (instead of 6) for going over a ton a few months later.

But I still had a pending trial from racing an undercover hahaha - where they just gave me a 3 month ban.

Back down to 8 now and will be back to 5 shortly I think...

Been a couple of crazy years, damn covid messing with my license!

0 at the moment, I tend to pick wisely and keep a good eye out for Smokey’s and cameras when I am pressing on.

Been caught out the odd time as last set of points was in the Clio 172 Cup doing 94mph in an NSL dual carriage way, had literally just come off a roundabout as fast as I could and kept my foot to the floor whilst accelerating up the hill. Camera van was on opposite side of carriage way so got me accelerating away from him. Was 3 points and 100 quid, I was just glad that at the time I was not in a similar driving mood in my SVR as I’d have probably been in a lot more trouble.

None. Never had any either. Somehow.

I was pulled for speeding twice when I road motorcycle, both times on near empty A roads in good conditions. I put my lack of points to not lying when asked how fast I was going, remaining civil and the bikes being insured, taxed and MoT’d.

Lack of point whilst driving cars is due to my owning a series of very dull and slow cars and 20 years of commuting on public transport.

I got bagged when I was 17 as you do at that age for being a bit silly, but got a stern warning as opposed to points.

I'm not sure I buy all this "slow car" talk. I drove a Smart at 85mph everywhere for about 9 years.

It just took a really long time to get up to 85 :D

I got caught one time and got an awareness course. Was doing 39 in a 30mph town as I had pulled off a motorway/big A road expecting a different big A road, and was distracted looking around to figure out that I'd taken the wrong exit. So hadn't slowed down nor spotted the camera sign.

I used to speed everywhere knowingly but never got caught, that time I legitimately was distracted and hadn't realised I was speeding!

I've since slowed down a lot and now bought a very boring Toyota and pootle everywhere. Instead of getting thrills from the Speedo going up I get them from the fuel economy number going up :D
