How many punctures do you get?

I've never had a "puncture".

I've had tyres go flat tho. My old Uno's wheel rim corroded and started letting air out, just wire brushed it and used sealant. The other side went a few weeks later.

I've been driving for 14 years now.
In those 14 years I've not actually had a puncture.
I have had a screw go into a tyre on my 3 month old Peugeot which couldn't be repaired - so I was forced to replace a tyre with only around 3k to 4k miles on it.
However even that wasn't actually punctured - I just felt it was a lot safer to get sorted than to risk a blow-out at speed.

I'm just your average driver.
Around 15k miles a year, mixture of motorway, backroads, etc.

The real question is how many times do you see a road cleaning vehicle/team?

I honestly can say that in 12 years of home ownership in Coventry I have never seen a street cleansing team on the estates where I live.

Whats the point in council tax again?

1, the first week I had my Mini, I had just finished a night, had a nail in my tyre..

On the way home, Pop!

Nope.

I had 3 1/2 years of driving and two years on a motorbike with not even a puncture. Then the last 12months :(...

The last blow out ripped the steel cables apart in the side wall . gash about 3 inches long. On the inside of the wheel as well, so I can't see it being foul play.

I'd be interested to know which tyres they were that blew out, if possible?

/EDIT as in brand/model

Different brands (can't remember what, came with the car as well as a non fitting spare wheel). However both rear tyres, one either side. Driver side was on the inside sidewall. The other was passenger side, outside sidewall (only a little hole, compare to the other)

Blimey that was a quick reply!

Can you remember whether they were decent brands? Or linglong specials?

When I had old bangers I usually have one puncture every year, but since I bought some newer cars I haven't had a puncture in 7 years (84k KM's total)

every year - the joy of working in trading estates :(

Mind you, I go through just as many windscreens too, (not literally I might add :o

One actual, a big thorn from a bush
And a couple of slows in ~80,000 miles.

I'm sure I remember reading the average was like 60,000 miles between punctures, but that was probably just propaganda by the no spare wheel brigade ;)
