How many reps and sets should you do per day?

I build my son a home gym and found myself using it as well. I'm not lifting anything super heavy, 50kg bench press as I dont have a spotter most times.

Doing about 10 at a time. Usually do about 10 sets a day over the day.

As its in the garage when I go in for something I will do 4 or sets.

Just doing it for strength but have found myself enjoying it. Very addictive.

What do people consider as a normal day of working out?

[VERY BROAD BRUSH WARNING]

Assuming you aren't just benching, of course... ;)

5-10 reps per set, and aim to get between 20 and 30 reps across the exercise. Per week, you'd be looking at anywhere between 9 and 16 sets per "body part."

Stronglifts is a great starting point, too.
