In all seriousness - the costs of the loaves arent going to break the bank - take a guess, add 50% on top, and go with that figure.

If you buy a few too many loaves it wont break the bank, will it?

Approximate, just make sure you don't buy 1 whole chicken per sandwich :p
it's happened to the best of us  ok, i'll give it a go, it'll probably be around 15 or so, so if i treat it as 12 then it'll account for mis-scrapes of butter and any other terrible fates that a slice of bread can endure!

cheers everyone

It's probably about 20 ish, but I'm not 100% sure. You'll have to wait for me to buy more bread :p

I never eat white bread, so can't answer the exact question.

However, for comparison, here are figures for others that I have

Tesco's Wholemeal, medium cut. 20 (for each of two loaves)
Warburton's Wholemeal. 19

You need to know as part of a computing btec?

Thanks Tony Blair, look what've you done to higher education.

Depends if its sliced horizontally or vertically as well :p
Let's just say a loaf of bread has 20 slices. If we were to make a diagonal, left to right, making each slice become two triangle shapes - would that loaf of bread hold 20 or 40 slices or bead? :)

Medium slicwed white bread is typically 22 slices per pack including the crusts so about 20ish would be right :)

I gotta stop reading the packaging at the tills :(

It would be a feast of soldiers for a morning boiled egg :)

Think of the benefits of a horizontal cut loaf, salami etc mmmmmmmmm. That would be a true foot long.
