How many times can i activate Windows 8?

Hi guys, question in the title basically.

My main HD has given up the ghost, so i'm using an old HD in the meantime.

I've installed Windows 8 on the spare drive, but haven't activated it yet.

I've ordered an SSD from ocuk, and should be here on Monday.

I plan to install Windows 8 onto that when i get it.

Will it matter if i activate it now, or shall i just let it be until my new drive comes?

Just asking as i would have installed it on three separate HD's come Monday.

pretty sure as long as its the same machine you can activate it as many times as you like. if you are changing machines, i believe its 5 times.

unlimited even if you upgrade your system fully your allowed to transfer the license. u just may need to phone activate

as long as its not OEM or Upgrade Licence, i thought they were limited to times they could transfer

Same machine = fine.

A HDD upgrade alone won't trigger re-activation.

win8 OEM / Upgrade as a new license.. as long as u've built the system yourself your allow to transfer the license as many times as u like

remember theres no retail anymore

basically win8 OEM / Upgrade is the new retail license , as long as u've built the system yourself
