How many words have you typed in your entire life?

My misguided colleague here thinks he has typed only about 200000 in his entire life, including 4 years at Uni.
I think I will have typed well over a million.

Can anyone help him out of his misguided state?

I really wouldn't be surprised if I hadn't typed well over a [ignore] words, seeing as i've been using PC's for 20 years.

EDIT: Actually, having done the maths, i'd say closer to 100 Million.

Although TKC (Tiny keycounter) only monitors key strokes and unfortunately is down at the moment I have typed around 9million keys in the past year and a half or something on that, so I don't quite know what that'll equate too but I'd say rather a lot lol.

Tes of millions, without a doubt. I'm 28 and have been using computers since I was 4 years old, and have done a lot of programming and writing (plus posting rubbish on forums).

Well, i i had that tracker thing i use to do anything from 70,000 - 200,000 keyboard strokes per day.

So in words, all adds up

Tens of millions, easily. First, I'm a programmer, and second, I use computers a lot outside work.

Typed close to 7 million characters in the last six months. Make of that what you will.

Hmm, there's 50,000 posts and if we assume an average of about 4 words per post (that's your usual standard, right?) then we only reach a shade over 200,000... where did the rest come from?

Millions. Started using computers at age 4/5, touch typing from the age of 12 probably, and now I'm twenty! :eek:

I've probably typed millions of words. I've been using typewriters and then computers for years now. I remember when I was about 7 or 8 I used to copy text from books just to practice my typing. I go on MSN nearly every night and talk loads, aswell as all my homeworks and pieces of coursework over the years.
