how long can i expect the rig in my sig to last at 2560*1440? not sure if i should jump for broadwell or skylake? game at 144hz

I would expect that to last a nice long time and should it ever need a boost you can go SLI with another 980 or drop a future GFX card into it.

Strong setup and a nice overclock.

Cant see a ssd listed?

I wouldn't be worried for a while, as Stulid said all you would need is a GPU upgrade should you see a slow down. The CPU is solid and overclocked nicely.

Should be fine. Maybe extra RAM though? Depends if you want to max out every game at 1440p.... if you do then another 980 would be needed.

The PC in my signature runs games at medium/high settings at 1440p and its like 3 years old, probs needs a bump in GPU soon.

The only game to trouble mine at 1440p has been The Witcher 3 so I suspect you can carry on with that for a while yet.
