how much difference do case fans make?

Yea ur prob right.

Im happy with 70's atm tho as I was gettin high 80's to start off with. Re-applied TIM and reseated heatsink helped take 10+ deg off max temps.

Your new cooler should drop you into the 60's.

i hope so. i know people say they will run fine at 90, but i would rather keep it sub 70 if pos.

Yes I know how you feel.

Although I have read a few times that clocking the i7 over 3.6-3.8+ really brings up the temps, so you may need to rethink your case and get one with good airflow. Intakes at the front, exhausts out the back and top?

The 902 has 2 120mm intakes in the front and 1 120mm exhaust out the back and bigger again out the top and 120mm on my Nero heatsink. I have pretty good airflow through my case I think its just my CPU cooler holding me back. I have another 120mm for the side intake which I will fit tonight. This will prob only bring down my GPU temps not CPU.

yeah, i like the one that keeps popping up on the ocuk links at the top of the page for £43, just cant justify anymore money at the moment.

The type of fans itself doesn't make as much difference as a good case, good cable management and good positioning of the fans.

The main difference is the noise level.
