How much elec?

It will surely have power ratings on it? At that temp in the current conditions i would imagine it will be having to work all night.
 
You will freeze! I sometimes leave my a/c on all night at 25C/low fan but I live in Cyprus.
 
18 is too low for me :p Maybe in a couple of months when the temperature will reach 40-42C in daytime.
 
Those things are pretty damn expensive too run.

I bought one back when I used to live with my parents as I had an attic room and it was boiling. My Dad noticed the electricity bill take a huge jump!

I've still got it, but not used it in my own place because of the cost.
I think really, need to look at proper air conditioning instead which is more efficient.
 
As others have said...Having the air con on 16c is burning money and will keep the pump running all night. Set it to around 22-24 for sleep because you naturally get colder as you sleep and 16c you will be freezing.

My aircon uses about 1kw and cools down to 18c and costs about 10p per hour to run. It sounds cheap to run but if you run it for 10 hours a day over a month it soon adds up.
