How much Holiday : 2008

33 days holiday on 4 on 4 off. So I work 4 and a bit months per year.

Not bad...

Get an extra 3 days on top of that next May and possibly an extra 5 days in a few months as well

Only 24+ bank holidays, we get one more each year.

I am hopefully going to start night shifts soon, not sure how it will be but I get a pay rise and 1 extra day off per month.

I had 34 plus bank holidays until I recently changed job. I now only get 20 plus BH's.

New job so won't be taking any duvet days this year.

My base for this year is 27, (that's 25 + 2 days as I've been here over 10 years). On top of that I am probably going to "buy" 3 extra days as part of my flexible benefits taking me to the maximum of 30 days.

On top of that I do get 0.5 a month in flex time bringing me to 36 in total, (not inc. bank or company holidays*)

* we had two half days of company holidays last year, (Christmas and New Years Eves)

edit: currently have 15 of these booked for Japan in April

Last year I took 7 days but I was also out of work for 2 weeks. This year, I've booked 5 days in August.

got to roll over 13 days to this year from last to add to my 33 including bank holidays a whopping 46 days holiday this year, think I'll be going round europe for a few weeks but nothing else planned, time to get looking I think.

30 days, but only 3 bank holidays.
Although I get a load of random days of due to shift work. Just had a 4day week followed by a 3 day week this week. .

I'll do my usual. Random days of here and there. With a few weekend breaks to Europe/near countrys. Then take almost all of august of and attend bulldog bash followed by reading. Working on the car and getting drunk the rest of the month.

at the moment its 32 + bank holidays! they only give you loads of holidays in the civil service cos the jobs are so rubbish though so its not all good!

25 for me.

My partner gets something obscene like 29, doesn't sound much, but that's 11.5hr days, so the equivalent of nearly 44.5 days in 7.5hr terms. She even gets extra free money on top of that for lost unsociable hours earnings that should would have got on some of those days!

I have 15 days offically to book off for holidays. Then I have bnak holidays on top of that plus at christmas we have 10 working days off, before, during and after the new year so its not that bad.

Wish I could buy more days off at work though.

Yeah, how does 'buying holiday' work? We can request unpaid leave in addition to paid holiday, but I've never heard of buying holiday before (unless its effectively the same thing).
