How much paint do I need?

Hi guys, my main room is in need of a new paint job. It measures 15x15 feet.
How to calculate how much paint I need to purchase?

How high id the room?

15ft x height x 4 (walls) = feet sq.

Height is 7' 5''

So 15 x 8 x 4 = 480 feet sq?

Yep, that's approx 146sq meters [EDIT - No its not ignore my failure at simple maths] meters so around four [EDIT - No 1] large 10L tubs based on a paint coverage of 14m²/Ltr.

Obviously you will actually have less to cover minus windows, doors, skirting etc but depending on the state/original colours of the walls you may need to put multiple coats on some areas.

I always buy more than I need and still end up with only about half a tin left. Buy more than you need and take any full tins back that you've got left over.

Haha Doh!

You know when I typed that earlier I thought 'wow that's a big room' but didn't think twice. Yeah I completely mixed up meters with square meters.

On the upside if he has taken my advise he won't be short on paint!
