how much performance will i gain

I have a 7970 at the moment but have just bought a

PowerColor AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB Red Dragon V2

I just want to know how much of a performance upgrade will it be

I know I should have asked first lol

About 40% increase but it depends on what you are running, it could be a little higher or lower.

Its a worthwhile upgrade. I went from a 7950 3GB to the PowerColor AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB Red Dragon V2. My 3D Mark Timespy Graphics score went from 2000 to 4300 so double. The 7970 scores about 2300 so you'll go up to 4300.
