Hi guys,
I've recently bought a bundle off the internet that saved me around £100, however, I'm not sure that the PSU will have enough wattage for my build.
It has 530W (it's a Pure Power L8).
My components are as follows:
i5 4690K (will probably overclock)
Gigabyte Gamer 3 Mobo
Probably a Sapphire Tri-X OC R9 290 GPU
NZXT Phantom 240 case
8Gb of corsair vengeance
fairly standard ssd+hdd combo

Will this PSU cut it?
Any comments are welcome.
Thanks.

The Max combined power of the 12v rails is 40 Amps/480W. It's a PSU that would probably do the job for a while but isn't ideal as a long-term investment for that set-up, especially with overclocking. So basically it's your choice whether to try it and use it as long as it lasts, or purchase another that will give you more headroom.

Sorry but id say no, your going to be pushing 400watts loaded at stock clocks, the card alone can peak at 350w (average is probably more like 250 however) but even taking the adverage

250 gpu
70 cpu
50w hdds cddrives etc
80-100w motherboard

youve hit 450w already and youve not got fans psu overheads or any overclocks on anything

Id personally recommend heading towards 750w just to make sure

750W?!!? Bit excessive tbh, you can run a crossfire 290 setup on 850W. I know of people with 550W SuperFlower units running a rig fine with R9 290s - 480W on the rail should be fine for a while, as the real world power draw according to the flat out benchmark was around 400W. Obviously you'd be looking to upgrade ASAP though

Ok thanks, will see how the current Psu turns out for now. When I overclock though I'll. Probably get a new one. Thanks for the prompt replies.
