How much RAM will you go for when Nehalem is out?

Having seen the improvement in vista moving from 4gb to 8gb i'd say i'd be getting at least 12gb when i eventually move to Nahalem.

TBH my wolfie is doing me just fine at present anyway - probably the best CPU i've ever had.

Not quite. It's going to love memory bandwidth, so the faster the memory the better.

It'll likely be called something like CPU Frequency. Gigabyte currently calls the FSB 'CPU Host Frequency', whilst Abit call it 'External Clock'.

I'll probably go for 6GB unless it is ridiculously bad value for money then it'll have to be 3GB or wait until DDR3 becomes reasonably priced

but it will be for the extreem so a bit longer for the mainstream

No, Extreme and high end mainstream are on intels roadmap, thats fairly likely to be a 2.66ghz part targetted at the current Q9450 price bracket, and a 2.93ghz part targetted at the current Q9550 price point. And then of course the extreme priced at silly levels :)

Possible intel will not follow their roadmap.. Yes, but there is a fair chance we'll get non extreme nehalems this year. Just not the budget and low mainstream parts.
