How much of your life is spent at work?

I've just been sorting out my leave record at work and noticed some scary stats.

In 2007 we have had 200 days so far. Of those:

64 were weekends and 5 bank holidays, leaving 131.

For me, Of those, 1.5 were privilege days, 12 taken as leave, 14.5 taken as flexi leave, 7 spent on training courses, 0.5 spent at the doctor/dentist, 3 spent working at home and 19 spent offsite (meetings at other sites - prob 50% of that being travel).

So out of 200, I've spent a mere 73.5 days actually at my desk. Win! :)

Not to mention the three weeks leave I have booked in August. :D

....oh and the time I've just wasted compiling the useless info above.

Too many, I don't take much holiday because I don't like holidays.

Since starting here last November, I've had a Friday and Monday off for the Paris Marathon weekend, three days off for the May Bumps, and I've got next week off for Town Bumps. So basically, only when I've got a race or competition on ;)

From Von's 131 days;
I've taken 14 as holiday
2 as study leave
14 as day release
4 sick :eek: :(
2 days training
leaving 95 as working days

Hours are usually 8:30 to 5:30 or 6:30, but at the moment its more like 9:30 to 4:30 as I actually have nothing to do.

Last year - same as this I suppose.

I work 4 out of 8.

So :

365 / 2 = 182.
-21 days holiday
-5 bank holidays
-4 parental leave days
-3 training
-4 sick
-extra 2 days requested unpaid

143 days.

I'm "meant" to start at 8:30, but to be honest, 9am is the time most people arrive in, not really an issue, no-one is particularly bothered (lack of a formal management structure \o/).

I'm "meant" to have 40 mins for lunch (13:00-13:40), however will seldom actually be "working" from 12:30-14:00. Pub lunches are great.

I'm "meant" to leave at 17:20, but most of the time, that is 17:00, everyone leaves at 17:00 (again, our current management structure = \o/).

I get half a day off a week, or more commonly, save them up and have a day off every fortnight (saves on fuel).

I've had 3 weeks off so far in 2007 (holiday year starts in April, so have only used 5 days this "holiday year), so from the original figure of 131 days, that drops to 110, take into account then that 110 / 5 days = 22 weeks, and I get 1 day off every two weeks, thats an extra 11 days off, 99 days.

I've had a week off i'll, two visits to the doctors, one to the dentist, and a few days off "non-holiday, emergency days", that takes me down to 89~ days at "work".

Had one week on a "corporate visit" to a company we contract to do retail support for us, 3 days training, and a week at other sites, thats a grand total of 76 days in the office, and even they aren't "full" days :D

I am quite happy with my setup as well

I work

6 months of the year = 182.5
Holiday = 25 days
Bank Holidays = 5 days
Lieu Time = 7 days

145.5 days for me.

So lots of free time to spend mainly on the Golf course :)

I've spent around 160 days at work as I tend to work weekends as well as weekdays. :mad:

And if we class 8 hours a day as a work day then I have probably done over 220 days of work this year.

Well :-

3 x 5 = 15 Sick - popped out knee cap (driving job) (Paid)
2 x 5 = 10 NZ Holiday (Paid)
3 x 5 = 15 NZ Holiday (Un Paid)
5 x 5 = 25 Suspended (Paid)
Total = 65

So I've worked for 70 days but been paid for 116
