How much to maintain a 360 modena a year?

An absolute shocking amount, i think they need a major every 8k and i dont want to even comment on how much that would be. I think Eyedot knows ferrari servicing costs as he looked into it. I think the saying is, if you can afford to buy 2 you cant afford it.

I am told an basic service - which amounts to an oil and filters change and a once over runs to 4 figures and they require these about every 4-5k miles. Every 10k or so they need a good going over and proper tune up which costs even more.

A lot cheaper when you know a Ferrari retailer

Yeah ive heard the cant afford two cant afford one saying. Doesnt really help much unfortunately because I would like to know accurate figures per year to see if it would be realistic.

I hope eyedot drops in, or I may have to ring up a local dealer.

Is there something you're not telling us? ;)

How come no MSN?

from speaking to someone with a 355, around £9k a year for rebuild and general stuff

Extra if problem arises, however Ferrari autorised service centers offer a good courtesy car ;)

the 360s cost a lot more than the older 355;s

simply as the Cam Belts need replacing every 6-10000 on the new 360s (they replaced the older chain ones, with new rubber ones... the older ones went for ages... ask yourself why they would want to put in new ones which need replacing so often!)

355 will cost on average £3k a yr to run..

360.. I looked into serving costs a while back, but they have dropped now, at the time i was quoted £8k a yr..

now it seems to have dropped. all depending on how many miles you do, and if you go official or not..

gives you an example... of a minor service cost :)
That used to cost £5k.. but they dropped it a lot :)

I dont think Gurdas can drive yet - so he sure aint gonna be getting a ferrari - anyways people should deffo work for their cars and money and not be given stuff on a plate to become slacking waste of space idiots with their heads so far up their backsides they dont know which way is up!

^^That wasnt aimed @ gurdas btw - just a rant!

£3k a year? what mileage is that assuming? the one who owns one round here uses it as his daily driver which i suppose isn't really that normal for Ferrari owners

Your looking about £2500 per 6000 miles for the service, and I would say £1k a yr for the Power Warranty.

So £3500 a yr (assuming 6000 miles)

if your m8 is paying £9k a yr, he must be doing 22,000 miles a yr .. :| or getting over charged,, or no warranty.

Servicing has dropped massivly in the last 6 mths.. maybe you spoke to him before this... when £5k services were the norm.

now, i would say your looking at 30p a mile for service costs... depreciation, now thats a different thing ;)

not really a m8, just someone i know and spoken to the car about.

I'd assume no warranty, he said his service bills all in came to roughly £9k a year

But he works in the city and I seem to see it fairly often so i'd assume he drives to work, always wonder about these people when you walk past the city carparks at 10am and see a load of exotics.

Spoke to him about the car about 9 months ish ago

I also remember some programme (4 car or 5th gear?) a few years ago having an article about old ferraris (80s), saying how they were going so cheap because nobody could afford the £12k service costs.

Anyway, as the saying goes, if you have to worry about scrimping on the service costs, you can't afford one. This you trying to persuade your dad to get one Gurdas? :D

I'd smoke a Ferrari,

But I'd have to keep it till I die because I'd get it serviced at cheaper places but to Ferrari standards by Ferrari Technicians, only they couldn't add to the service history as they would run the risk of being sacked.

We saw a F355 on the way home and were wondering how much it would cost to maintain. I asked dad about a 360 and says hes a bit too old for it and would prefer a DB7, which leaves a spot for a young only son;)
