How much would you charge someone if you built a computer for them?

Very difficult to price up a markup on retail products whithout wholesale prices. I tend not to build PCs for others for this very reason. Instead, i charge on the services that go with them.. Windows installation, on-site set-up, data migration etc etc..

If I am requested a build then it would be 2 hour flat charge of £90.
 
I for one would not let my mate build me a pc without sorting him out, even if he didn't want anything.

£50 for the build and installation is cheap and fair, don't forget you are sourcing the bits and probably saving him money compared to where he would go anyway.
