How noisy are Seagate's Exos HDDs?

Specifically the 16 and 18 TB models? Do they synchronise spindles?

Very noisy during seeking.
Maybe noisiest I've ever heard, up there with the Hitachi deskstars/ultrastars from 2005-2010

These are shockingly loud and I mean really loud but when you see what their usecase is, it will make sense. If you after a NAS drive get a Ironwolf, WD RED or RED pro or other Nas type drives. If your usecase is hyper scaling datacentres, fast performance, high tolerance levels that a normal user would never break at the cost of silence then this may be for you.

Bought two of these in the MM, 18TB models and they're no more loud than any other HDD I've run.

Absolutely fine, not loud at all.
